Materials, objects and folklore can spark curiosity and connection, helping people understand themselves and others more deeply.
Creating artworks that explore material storytelling through objects and materials encourages this reflection and a sense of belonging. Ultimately, my work is a form of material storytelling. It asks how we understand ourselves through the things we inherit, keep, discard or reinvent. I hope the works spark this curiosity in others, to consider the stories in their own lives, the traditions they carry, and the ways in which objects quietly shape how we belong to one another.
